Selling your home requires effort and patience. Here are some tips to help you sell with confidence.

Seller Tips

As you are working to sell your home, you'll want to be confident in the state of your home. Before your home inspection appointment, follow this checklist as you look around your house to catch any obvious issues.

Grounds & Exterior

  • Trim vegetation away from the house (eighteen inch clearance is recommended)
  • Dirt is not in contact with siding
  • Gutters & Downspouts installed and in good repair

Crawl Space

  • Crawl Space cover fits tightly and does not allow access to pets and rodents
  • Foundation vents are not covered, allowing ventilation into the crawl space

Kitchen & Bathrooms

  • Check for leaks under sink
  • All tub & shower seams are adequately caulked

Safety

  • Working smoke detectors installed in each bedroom & in hallways

General

  • Paint is in good condition
  • Door handles work properly
